This is my first ever bus that I've owned so I need some help knowing what fluids to put in my braking system it's a hydraulic air brake system. It's on a 1990 Chevy Transit Express seven window City shuttle bus
I just need to find out if I use actual hydraulic fluid in the tanks next to my driver's seat under the hatch or if I use brake fluid

They are usually Hydraulic or Air brakes, but not both. Do you have air service chambers by your wheels on the inside? They are the rounded looking chambers with an air line going to them, if so you have Air brakes, and you don't rely on Hydraulics. If they look more like a car with hydraulic hoses going to them (Brake lines) then you have a Hydraulic system, and you'll need to have someone else here answer your brake fluid vs hydraulic fluid question.

It has air gauges in the dash. I believe it has both. I've seen many class A campers with the same thing. There's a reservoir under the "hood" but also, right next to the driver's seat There's another access lid and when you look under there theres two more reservoirs the same size as the under hood one filled with a fluid also. All three are low and I'm getting new brake warning lights

i dont remember what year they phased them out but there was air over hydraulic brake systems. look up lucas girlig brakes system.

Figured it out

Got the braking situation figured out. The brakes are hydraulic over air.
Now on to the more difficult stuff 🤣
