Hello all.
Tried searching but....

1999 Thomas MVP-RE/cat 3126/Allison 3060
Got my bus home from Seattle to Dallas last night

Went to show it off to my wife and now a buzzer wont shut off.

It is the one to the left side under the console.

We did open all the doors and close them back.
The local buzzers to the exit are silent.

I don’t know what to do about it

If you need additional info just ask.

Thank you Thank you Thank you

-Shay

The buzzer is a "Kid Left Onboard" buzzer. Before you shut off the engine, you have to walk to the back and press a RED button. To permanently disable this, you have to open the outside electrical panel (under the driver's window) and disconnect a yellow module. You can also take this beast to a local Freightshaker dealership.

Unbelievable, the crap that's dreamed up to treat the rest of us like idiots because some don't do their job... *smh*

Thanks for replying...

Looked for the no child left behind button. Cant find it.

Thing is though...Had three people on it for 3 days and this didn't happen!

Bus starts and runs. Probably just buzzer delete:whistling:

I un hooked the buzzer from the yellow module. (Emergency exit brain)
Is all good now.
Took my wife to the truck wash and to breakfast in the beast:biggrin:

Surprisingly easy to drive and maneuver.

love this bus:biggrin:

when my rear transponder failed, I unscrewed the module from the front of the bus and pulled the wires out. I gave one a tug and it came apart and started sparking violently so I yanked the whole connection apart --x-- and separated the wires. Taped them up and put them back in the hole. Problem solved. I understand some systems are more advanced than others. Mine was just the controller box with wires that connected to the power, horn and light relay.

Is it hydraulic or air brakes? If its hydraulic it could be the brake assist button on the brake pedal itself..

It was part of the bus exit safety "suite":wink1:

I simply unhooked the buzzer from the yellow module.
Its behind the electronics bay door on exterior of the bus, drivers side.

air brakes, btw
