Hello! My name is Will and I finally bought a bus! but its not a skoolie... its a 1992 Eldorado National ESCORT RE. it was a an airport bus in orlando fl. 32 passenger with restroom, 222,223mi, cummins B5.9, Allison trans, Alcoa aluminum wheels, air over hydraulic disk brakes, air ride. The entryway and steps were totally rusted out so the first thing i did was strip out the floring and A/C unit (this caused the corrosion) and ground all the rust off the frame underneath and rebuilt the steps and put in new flooring using 3/4" oak ply, solid oak steps, wood base boards and edge trim and Pergo laminate flooring for the entrance. I went to the DMV yesterday and got the title and tags. Now the fun begins!

P.S. I will post pictures as soon as I can, I have been taking a lot of pictures so a build thread may be in the future...

just because you are here, it doesnt mean u can only have a school bus. I joined when i had an intercity transit. long time ago. this is a good site for asking questions and learning. use it as a resource tool. good luck

I agree, this site has a plentiful amount of different resources for all things bus (and then some!) thanks!

You damn well better post some pics- sounds beautiful ! :wink1:

Welcome.

Well no pictures yet I still need to upload them to my computer but I did go to the DMV and all went smoothly, now for a certified weight and conversion to RV, DMV says I just have to make it livable with plumbing and power to do the paperwork for Recreational status.

Not really sure why all the pictures came out sideways they are normal on everything else, I can build anything, but I can bearly use the computer enough to post in this forum...

Wow ! OP delivers!

That's looking pretty cool inside already. Kinda of a Bohemian vibe. The oak treads will wear beautifully, too. Stage set designer?

Can't wait to see what you do with the outside. :thumb:
