Hello community. I am so happy I have stumbled onto this site. I have just begun to scratch the surface of this forum.

my history. I am from Oregon born and raised. I camp, hunt, fish, etc. I have always tent camped or backpacked. I am now married with kids I want them to be comfortable. and since I hunt in cold with my dad who is 65, it would be nice for us to have something we could use for hunting as well. with that in mind I want something shorter that can get in more rural areas. (no 72 plus passenger buses for me!) My camping style is boondocking as I like to be away from others and enjoy the solitude. I did own a trailer for a short while. It was 26ft and made it difficult to find dispersed camping sights.

What I think I am looking for: I started off with thinking about an ambulance, but they don't have the headroom that school buses have. I have also been interested in conversion vans, but think that they might not be the right fit for me. Ultimately I would love a 4x4 but I know that they are far and few between. I am aware and capable of converting one, but the costs would likely blow my budget up. I own a diesel truck and can not see myself in a gas powered bus. The engine must be diesel (unless someone gives me a bus for free! lol)

I would love to hear from peoples experiences especially if you have back country rough buses. Thank you for letting me join. look forward to hearing from you all!
