Hi all. I just moved into a converted1962 GM Bus. No motor. I'm permanently situated. Looking for info about wood stoves folks recommend and what have you done to cover your unit? So excited that others are doing this. I'm on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. Lovely, and lots of rain!

For a stationary bus I think your options are better. I would opt for a small residential unit. Some say the bigger ones put out too much heat and have to be regulated. I doubt that would be an issue on Vancouver.:thumb:

There are several great ones -
I have the Cubic Grizzly - this will be my first winter with it - so I am looking forward to the cold. I have heard they work great - and saw one in a smaller bus that heated it up nice and toasty. There is the Cub and Grizzly.

I friend just had a Tiny stove installed - and says it's great.

You can get some smaller ones at ACE Hardware - or local hardware / wood stove places - or craigslist.
Just do your research on installing and venting it! The Chimney / Pipe is easy to install - but very stressful to think about - especially drilling through the ceiling / roof!

Good luck! :thumb:

Thanks for your response. It's actually the Grizzly I'm wanting! How did you get yours? I mean, where did you order from, company direct or other?

I ordered mine directly from cubic mini - they were having a sale - and it was the cheapest around.
Amazon also sells it - I believe they still do. The price on the website is Canadian dollars - so it is really just I we $500 am- I believe.
