Just bought a 1993 Ford B700 School bus so I figured probably good to join a forum for the odd question. I got a good deal with the 5.9l Diesel but now its time to start doing some work to it. Just have to fix/replace the rear brake drum cylinders and I am finding it to be **** to get the rear drums off. Is there a special technique or bolt I am missing? New to the bus world so this is a learning curve and a half. I can't get the pictures to upload but its the 5 spoke duals. Have the 2 wheels off and the nuts off the end of the axle. It is the hydraulic brakes.

First, upload your pictures to Imgur.com or Google and paste links here.

You pulled the axles and took of the big nut in the housing? There is a washer with tabs that will need to be pried up, then the nut loosened, then there is the outer bearing that will come out. Then the drum, with the inner bearing and seal on it.

Get us a couple pix.

Hey Johnson, maybe you can settle an old question for us? Why does Prince Albert come in a can?

You should really get some help if you've never done that type of work before. At least get a book on the B700 series. Bus information specifically is hard to find on older rigs.
