Hello, I am a mom of 3. And we had a house fire a couple years ago. While waiting for insurance we bought a bus. My husband and I worked on it while we paid for hotel rooms for the kids and mother in law. We never got a payout on the items we lost and have no other means as credit is less than perfect. We are moving out of our lot this week and I am going to road school my kids. It is exciting but scary at the same time. We hope to find a home on our journey. Wish us luck! We will probably need it!

I've been looking into it as a pretty practical option for cheap accommodations while we build our bus in the coming months. I really like the concept; basically a makerspace for skoolies with a bunch of shared tools and equipment. I have read that they even have pros like electricians and welders in some locations. They have a work-camping program which would give you the option to work on projects like new site development in return for waived site fees. I am strongly considering this program myself.

When I got in touch with them, they recommended I get started on the bus project and then circle back...I was trying to see if I could just go pitch a tent somewhere and help out, but probably just being over-eager. If you're already mobile, you might be able to have a site lined up before you hit the road.

Best of luck to ya
