new uses for old seat frames...

I did a quick search but didn't see anything that answered my question so I'm going to throw it out there...

Are there any "good" uses for the old seat frames, other than scrap? I'm thinking about reusing parts for cabinet frames. I haven't really measured or done any cutting, but it seems plausible...in my head anyway. I got the idea after looking at buses with overhead luggage racks.

Anyone do anything special with their seat frames?

I've been on this site almost everyday for the last couple months and I've looked at most of the photo gallery and I really have not seen much use for the old seat frames except for reusing the entire seat and frame for a dinette.

Some guys will reuse the seat foam and plywood for homemade benches. But thats about it.

I think I recall at least one skoolie cutting them up to make brackets for under-body tanks or storage compartments, but I don't remember who.
