Hello there guys I'm new here and would like to thank you for adding me to your stellar community.

I have a 1968 Gillig School Bus
With a Cummins NHHT 262 pancake Turbo diesel
With 10 speed Eaton Fuller transmission.

I'm trying to source a water pump and pulley or a rebuild kit for the pump, any help would be greatly appreciated

You may get a quicker response if you ask this question in the Mechanical Section under the Cummins part. I don't really know, but maybe, someone there will see it faster than under Intros.
Good luck

I never look at specific thread sections. The column to the right shows all the replies to every thread in every section. I look at that list and it keeps me up to date on all that is happening here.

Small cam, especially the NHH small cam parts can be difficult to source.

Cummins is still your best shot at finding the correct parts.

Unfortunately for the owners of Crowns and Gilligs with small cam Cummins, some of the NHH specific parts are approaching unicorn status. Even finding people who know anything about them is getting difficult to find.

For instance, the PT fuel pump on an NHH engine is exactly like every other Cummins PT fuel pump except for the fact it is mounted on the front side of the front cover instead of the back side and turns opposite of every other PT fuel pump. Which means the NHH front cover is unique to the NHH and therefore harder to find replacements if your should get cracked or broken.

You may have to find a water pump rebuilder or machine shop who can make up a new shaft and bearing. That is if the impeller is still in usable shape.

Good luck.

someone here recently (last year) had one of those rebuilt... I think they said the rebuild kit for it was bought new through cummins if I remember right.

Ever get your water pump problem fixed? I had the same pump rebuilt with a new bearing, seal and impeller recently. So email me with any problems. I live in San Diego. badbuttbilly@gmail.com
