Hello everyone! I've been reading the forums for a while now, and have learned a lot for my build. My significant other and I plan on converting either a school bus or a transit/city bus, most locally either 38' or 40'. The goal is to park it here in FL for 2-5 years staying at my current job (driving transit busses) while building the bus in our spare time. Afterwhich, travel around North America visiting as many states as we can living full time in it.

I can get a bus, that's not really an issue. The thing I am having a hard time figuring out is where I'm going to be able to park it and build it over the course of several months. I don't really know anyone close enough with land without an HOA. Any tips on where to look from those that have built before? I live in Orlando, FL.

Welcome,

"Where do I put my bus?" Is a question every one of us has to answer. Those that answer that question BEFORE buying their buses are generally much less stressed :)

I have seen rural lots with RV hookups for rent on Craigslist. Also, on CL I see are for RV storage. Some of them have strict no repair or renovation on-site. Some are more flexible. Call them all :)
