I have a 2002 Bluebird All American RE and I can't get the backup lights or the alarm to work. I have a Doran Monitor from the original setup and the rest of the lights work (turn signals, brakes, running lights, etc.) but not the backup.

There is a positive hot wire that comes into the unit, and I can get the lights to turn on if I jump the positive wire to those going to the lights/alarm, so I know they work. I just cant figure out why it won't click on when I put the bus in reverse.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

And if the sensor is on the transmission like mine is, the engine has to be running for it to work as it is a pressure sensor...

Duh

It's a fuse in the engine bay. It's even marked "backup lights."

Gosh, how simple.
