Hi everyone
I have a 2009 RE300 and I'm not getting power to the clearance lights, master flashers, radio, fans on dash and pop out stop sign.
Also I have the camera system that came with bus and was wondering if I can hook a TV to rca jacks on it and see cameras I moved them to front and rear out side and would like to be able to use them. Also need a key to open dvr any ideas??

Hi, not sure about the power issues on that particular bus but I would start at the fuse panel and work toward each separate light. Most equipment has all the wires labeled with id numbers which makes it easier to trace each circuit.
As for the cameras, dash cams are too cheap nowadays to waste time and money on trying to retro old electronics. Good luck with your build.

Amazon-style camera systems seem to have proprietary connections and feeds and don't allow additional viewing devices (or recorders, unless you buy one that incorporates that).

The best I can suggest is take a picture of the device and connecters, get manufacturer's information and start google searching. Feel free to post what you learn here!

For opening the DVR I would suggest a crowbar. Unless you have a key, you'll never find a key for it. Do you need to record? Is there any information that indicates how you view the tape?

I posted almost the entire service manual for my bus, '99 amtran RE...;Look HERE.post #2, master wire list, will help you out somewhat.

I also have a second RE amtran, a 2006 and I can tell you the wiring is just about the same.

Amtran color codes the wiring in a very logical order and also prints wire numbers on the wires which will identify what circuit they belong to.

More Amtran service literature --> Here

For the box, then get a key made, or two. Yes I hav helped another person move cameras for use.

The dead circuits, sound like more than one circuit has a problem.

It sounds like you probably have a feed circuit--something like a master fuse--that has gone out. I would check under the hood or down low on the left side of the driver to see if you can find something like that.

If the cameras are using RCA jacks, then they're 99.9% likely to be sending an analog signal and you can hook up almost anything to them.

You should be able to pick or pop that lock and have it re-keyed, or buy a new lock cylinder for it pretty cheaply. Might be able to drive to a locksmith and get it all done professionally rather cheaply and quick.

I didn't get the key to the DVR box either. With no prior experience and a $20 set of Amazon picks, it took me about 5 minutes to pick the lock.....working down below my left leg, twisted, and with little to no view once my hands were down there with the pick and tension bar.
I was so happy I picked my first lock "in nature" that I went to the front door of the house and in less than a minute had that picked....which DID NOT make my GF happy.
The set I bought is no longer available and inflation during the covid fiasco they're about $30 now. Be sure to get one with at least one clear plastic practice lock so you can see what you're feeling and then go give it a go. $30 is far cheaper than a locksmith.

Here's a decent set:

Picking locks is fun and the more you do it the more you realize how unprotected our homes, cars and property really are!

First thing I would do though is change your front door lock!
