I thought I'd borrow an idea from a car forum and start a thread for non-affiliated bus listings. Anything's fair game as long as it's a 3rd party bus for sale (dealer or private seller). So whatever you find on CL, Govdeals, ebay, whatever, feel free to post it here!

I'll start with one I found on Govdeals. Not much information on the drivetrain or condition but I haven't seen too many RE buses with that side wheelchair door in the middle like that.

2005 Blue Bird All American/All Canadian - GovDeals.com

1990 Thomas pusher with a Cat 3208, relisted but the first time on the block bids were up to almost $4,000 :nonono:

1990 Thomas Bus - GovDeals.com

Cheapest Safetliner C2 I've seen yet. Not sure how ideal they would be for a skoolie platform though

2007 Freightliner School Bus w 108K Miles Runs and Drives Excillent | eBay

This would be a nice base for a conversion but $15K is way too much for a '95 with coolant leaks and other issues

1995 Thomas Saf-T-Liner ER - GovDeals.com

I'd be telling them to.....

Some of you need to realize what buses cost new.

Anything that can still be run as a bus to make money is still worth good money.

Just for reference, Dog nose full size chassis buses start at $85,000 new for a basic bus with no nice options.

Price of a flat nose Am Tran 300 with a DT466 at 300hp, retarder, Alison 3000 series trans, ect, and your at $145,000.

All the buses we buy here for our conversions are basically wore out junk, sold at scrap metal prices.

Bunch of RTD buses about to hit the auction block this Wednesday here in Denver.

Don't quote me, but these Orion V's tend to sell in the $1500-$2500 price range.

Word of caution, don't buy these sight unseen. Some are okay, some are really rough, and mileage doesn't seem to be the indicator of condition. I would definitely go to the Auction's physical site, kick the tires, see if you can hear them run, etc.

10.8 liters HAS to have great fuel mileage, lol. I don't know what their top speed/cruising RPMs look like, but I see them on the highway all the time. They'll do at least 55, probably governed around 62mph, but they're not the planetary-driven buses like the mall rides use (max out around 40mph).

If you give this a shot, good luck to you!
