Hi y'all. For $50, I now own an '81 Int'l Harvester w/ gas engine, 15 pax, shorty bus. Crawling all around it, on first glance it appears to be in fair to good shape. No rust. I have to go to sea for the next two weeks before I can see if the engine will start. I look forward reading through these posts for ideas & tech advice. Sorry. No pics. Attempted uploads failed

Well, what can possibly go wrong with a $50 bus? I think you've got a winner.

Shorty's are my favorite because they drive like a pickup truck. Get a little fine grit sandpaper for those points.

Lol. The first $50 spent was the easy part. It's what comes next that has me concerned. I know in the end the fun & satisfaction will be appreciated. A little secret. I've yet to tell my wife. Mums the word. Fortunate for me, I've a friend that has worked on these machines professionally. I should be able to deflect her concerns if I can come rolling into the driveway in a runner. "But Honey, I only spent peanuts!" Understood, wIll polish the points real shiny & pretty for good contact.

Tell her you spent $300 on it. That gives you the next $250 to spend without any bitching. :hide: #marriedlife.
Pics are best done thru photobucket or the like.

I see that I have many compatriots in arms. Thank you for your support. I clicked the paper clip to attempt attaching pics from my photo library. I like simple technology.

Photos don't seem to go here that-a-way. Upload to photobucket first, then they'll slide right in here.
I'm going to guess that it's set up that way to keep people from transferring viruses that like to hide in photos. Me thinks photobucket probably scans them first.

welcome to the jungle!!!

what motor does it have a 345?

No wife here.. no worries on when or how I spend $$$.. i have a roomate that thinks im a little crazy... and some friends that hounded me forever to get my old bus out of the garage and I never did.. those same friends are telling me that we all *WILL* enjoy my new bus..
