Seems like both will create their own unique visual effect. I have always thought longways but then I've seen a few that go the other way, and it doesn't seem so bad.

Thoughts?

Why not a nice herringbone pattern?

long ways looks like a bowing alley, but makes the bus look long and big and gives a natural flow to the space. cross ways makes the bus look wider, and shorter, but has unnatural flow. either way looks good. I notice this when laying flooring down in houses, and when trying to decide on my bus, still haven't installed yet.

Been looking at cork lately, which doesn't have a grain. I figure since the entire bus only needs about 75 square feet, it might as well be something nice.

I like the looks of that vinyl Redd! Did you attach it in any way?

Not yet Mike, still got some hackin, grindin, slashin, choppin, fittin to do and didn't want to wreck the vinyl. I'll use a vinyl flooring adhesive when ready.

The vinyl flooring pattern ran length wise off the roll in a 12 foot width, I only needed 11+ feet by 7.5 feet for my kitchen area. That's why it ended up across.... to much waste.

The original plan was a grey in colour, pieces of slate but they were sold out.
