I am overrun with emotion right now! Just got home from purchasing a 2004 IC CE200 8 window with wheelchair lift. It was at a local bus yard so I was able to get it out on the road and take a real good look at it over the last week. I have no clue what I am doing as of yet so it should be interesting to say the least! I hope take full advantage of the wealth of knowledge here and build a possibly contribute some tips myself. Wish me luck!!

welcome fellow Buckeye!!

a CE200 will be a T-444E engine likely an allison 2000 series automatic... many of the 200s had low profile rear tires and flat floors when they are wheelchair lift equipped

Thanks All!

I thought window count was the most accurate way to describe it but technically its a 25 passenger bus and roughly 30' bumper to bumper. I loved the high ceiling and no wheel wells and was hoping it had the Allison 2000 tranny. My plan is to somehow get my Harley Davidson Road King inside for some long distance trips. My wife hasn't broken in her biker but yet :) That's going to be a head scratcher.

Can't wait to pick it up! They are putting on some newer tires for me.

How many passengers? "8 window" tells me nothing.

Given the model of bus you are likely to see 8 - 3 passanger seats down each side. That would make it a 48 passenger bus. However, it could have 8 - 2 passenger "adult" seats down each side making it a 32 passenger bus.

Unless..... It has handicapped spots. Then it could be anywhere from 8-44 passengers.

Must be my twisted way of looking at things but I find the number of windows a more accurate descriptor of bus size than number of passengers.

Just my $0.02

Sounds like a nice bus.!

Congratulations!

I think that you have a pretty good shot at having a 2000 series transmission. I THINK that 2003/2004 was when the 545 was dropped.

The shifter will give some clues. Show us some pictures.

I will get some pics up real soon! The shifter has the 4-2-1 configuration leading me to believe it's the 2000 tranny. pictures will definately describe it better than I can!

Go Bucks!

OK, break out the tape measure and tell me HOW LONG your bus is, from windshield to the back. Window widths can vary.

Congrats.... I think we have the same bus. you can see it in the link below. now the madness begins. have fun and post some pics!

Rovobay....we are almost bus twins! Mine has the handy door up front tho. Your bus is looking awesome! I am going to be following your build and maybe copying a few of your ideas :/

Congratulations!!! Welcome to the skoolie family. We are not far ahead of you in our conversion and have been doing videos of the process on our Youtube in case they are of help to you (link below):thumb:. This is an amazing community and resource. Excited to see your build take shape!

Congratulations! That sounds very similar to my bus - I love that size bus - and the t444e 7.3L V8 engine has been a great machine.

My head is spinning with all of the ideas I have planned! Do most of you have some sort of structured build plan or do you just wing it? I sometimes tend to overthink things
