Opsho, Prep & Etch, Corroseal, ect?

My age? 65 if you must know. 65 years of working for myself in many businesses. Always done my own repair work.

Home Depot, Klean Strip Prep & Etch, $15.98/gallon

Yeah, I saw the Prep and etch was pretty cheap, thats why I originally asked the difference. I saw that the main ingredient was similar.

It's between that and the Ospho. I was able to find a closer Ace, so I guess it is just gonna be where I get to first. I feel like they both will be good.

Where did y'all find your mask protection? I've gone through so many disposables, which have been great but it adds up, I'm thinking of buying one that I can reuse. I still have to do ceiling insulation and treat the floors.

My vehicle blew a head gasket so I haven't been able to get anywhere lately "/ hopefully I can go get all the floor stuff soon so I can get this all finished.

clarify

taking the redneck route (not planning on removing glass or rubber seal)

if i have a hole near the windshield, what are the basic steps:
1. sand paper.
2. apply restoleum rust reformer
3. mesh + bondo
4. prime & paint
5. seal meeting edge with 3m sealant

Corroseal is totally different than ospho. Have you used these products?
Ospho is only $25 a gallon here, man.
It goes a long way.

Rustoleum Rust Reformer is the absolute best rust converter I've ever tried.
NOT the spray cans, the gallon stuff.
I saw a post elsewhere that had an actual head to head test of the different ones and the Rust Reformer (not the spray can) won.

I used Prep and Etch; took about 1/3 gallon to treat the rust spots. Having never used anything else to compare, I was pleased with the results. Afterward, I used Rust-Oleum to cover the areas that had seen rust, then a coat of metal primer (a gift from a painter friend) on the entire floor.
