PA Speaker placement and painting.

I have a nos radio shack external pa speaker. Which way should it face? Can i paint it.?:Thanx:

Face the rear or the wind will destroy the voice coil, also make sure water doesn't get in it. As for painting make sure you don't get paint down inside.
