We are ready to paint our bus and wondering if anyone has used bed liner paint and if so, where to purchase and how much?

There are lots of bedliner variants available. The "real deal" heavy duty stuff is a urethane-urea mix that is very durable. Most of the rattle can stuff I have seen (and used) I believe were urethane-rubber. I did several coats of the rattle can mix in my rear wheel wells as well as coating the inside of my house battery box. Seems to hold up pretty well. But I have been "told" that you should NOT use it directly on bare metal. Supposedly the urethane reacts with and oxidizes raw steel so I threw a coat of self etching primer and some implement paint (John Deere Blitz Black) on first.

Anyone else know more about this?

I dont know about it oxidizing the metal but i know it doesnt seem to adhere to bare new metal very well... it surely likes the metal "roughed up" if anything... I always paint primer on new metal anyway... so maybe its anything painted on that doesnt stick to bare new metal but this stuff seemed worse about that..

Christopher, we are almost finished sanding the bus so the bed liner paint will adhere to the metal/plastic. We are hoping it will work! Now to figure out exactly how much paint we will need. Thanks!
