Pricing on Camp bus?

Hi Y’all.

I drive buses for the Environmental Education Camp where I work. We’re getting two new buses. I told our Director before they “retire” the buses that are being replaced, that there may be a market for buses that are in physical good shape, but have engine problems. I have seen some parked on properties!

What is a ballpark price for this kind of bus? It would need to be towed.

Inop bus or serious mechanical problems = scrap value.

If the bus is otherwise titled and driveable and only has specific, diagnosed issues that, if corrected, would return the bus to service, then I'd guess about five grand minus the repairs.

I bought a 40' bus at auction, great clean no rust body, new tires and brakes but with a blown engine, $500 bucks!
