I can find Reflectix at Lowes but not Prodex.

Another bad apple is Insulation4less, which retails a thin product called Prodex Total. On its website, the company states, “Prodex Total has a nominal thickness of 5 mm (13/64 inch) closed cell polyethylene foam covered on both sides with .0012 (00.03 mm) aluminum foil facing. ... R-value R-16 unaffected by humidity.”
Prodex may be unaffected by humidity — but it is seriously affected by gross exaggeration.

I also noticed on their website that they ship out small quanities all day everyday.
But if you want to pick some up from the "factory" in Houston you have to buy 35,000 sq. ft.

My bet there is no "factory" and they are just some guy with a warehouse of Chinese made stuff.

And the makers of Reflectix is just as bad at exaggeration, boasting "up to" R-21.

I pretty much ignore any and all manufacturer's claims. Especially regarding R-Values. I did use Relectix but strictly as a radiant barrier material. I just don't have room for enough rigid or spray foam to make it worth the price.

As a "learning" follower of this forum, I wondered what the "skilled and knowledgeable" ones have used for their builds? Being in the Houston area, I think that the humidity/condensation aspect would be very important, followed by the heat barrier. I plan to paint the outside roof with a fiber added paint, but still not sure of best interior insulation.
I wait your suggestions and pictures, oh learned ones. (I love this place)

Pretty much everyone who's at all serious about really insulating uses real insulation. Foam board or spray in foam are the two most popular, I'd say.

That IS what I was thinking, but always interested in everyone's view. Seems like some new product comes out, just as I think I've figured it out. I'm eyeing a 40 year old bus, and want to make sure I only have to do it once.

Now, get some more popcorn, and maybe an adult beverage.(lol)

Just noticed that my smiley face didn't get from my phone to the forum. So ECCB (sunshine) you're ok with me. ( Peanut & Charlie Brown gave me that thought) However if we ever were to meet, I think the "cupcake" thing would be far, far away from anything you would be thinking. A 6'3", 275 lb. cupcake ain't that pretty.
I'll keep reading, and hopefully learning. No popcorn here, but way to many left overs, and unhealthy snacks.
