I (Being the computer nerd I am) Want to set up a little bit of a home theater setup with a computer and a screen. I want to be able to sit on the passenger side bed and see the screen on the other side of the bus. I have both a short throw "Portable" projector, and a 32 inch TV, Which should I use?

If you can swing it, definitely the TV. Projectors have issue during day if any sunlight is entering into the space at all. Some people use pop up stands where the TV can rise up out of the wall to hide it when not in use. Others use a ceiling stand that can allow you to fold the TV up to the ceiling and lock the other end for driving so it doesnt' fall down while driving. A TV is gonna work better in a sun lit area so that's my only concern about using a projector. Projectors are fine at night and in dark conditions but not day.

Even if you have to have a smaller inch TV, I still think it's worth it.

Having a projector for use OUTSIDE of the bus while camped out somewhere would be a really cool option to have! especially on a nice mosquito-less night!

remembering the old - Drive-in movie days....

IMO Projector. You can store it out of site, and use it inside, or outside with a sheet.

I watch zero TV myself, maybe the occasional movie, and I really dislike large black screens chewing up wall space or being the focal point of a living room. 100% never in the bedroom.

Ask me how I feel about this. ;>)

Your mileage may, of course, vary.

I wanted the same capability in my bus.

I have enough battery to run a bunch of things, and I did set up a television display with a firestick. I even have a CD player. We've actually only used the TV when the bus is in the yard, when we wanted to watch something and the kids had a party. When we take the bus out, we're pretty much unplugged.

I also have designed a shelf (not yet built) that my display projector can sit on. It would project out the bus window onto a screen, or side of a barn. But again, no real opportunity to set it up and use it (yet? it's been five years....).

We tend to turn off electronics when we're out with the bus.

We purchased a projector (still in the box atm) for use when travelling. It's my understanding that projectors are, generally speaking, much more limited in lifespan than, say, an LCD television. Mainly due the optics, but also potentially from non-serviceable internal batteries if the unit in question is built in such a way. Due to these limitations, our plan is to only use the projector occassionally (like for outdoor movie nights in areas where noise/light polution are acceptable). They are not built to be 'daily drivers'. Also, to get anywhere close to 'good' resolution, you gotta pay pretty big $$. WAY more than you would for a comparable television/monitor.

I have an existing 32 inch TV, that I might use, mostly because i have it and that it has composite inputs (N64 in the bus!!) Projector might have to be on the back burner.

I'm hooking my OG 1985 NES up in my bus on a 42in tv. I upgraded it to use HDMI using a limited sold modification. Uses pure digital audio and video since it no longer has to convert it through the original RF Modulator.
