Proud new bus owner!!

Just bought my bus from Austin, TX! She is a beauty. Went down from MN to pick it up but alternator went out so had a fly back for work and trying to get it up here! But other than that, so excited to be a part of this forum and can't wait to start the RV conversion with my girlfriend! 2002 International/Thomas high roof for my height! Texas bus with no rust!

Maybe I'm wrong, so excuse me if I am.
But that pic doesn't show a high headroom model. The windows look like the standard 9" to me.
But I could be wrong. Take a tape and hold it from floor to ceiling. If its around 6'2" its standard height. IIRC the high headroom ones will be around 6'6".

And that's no Thomas, man. Its definitely a Bluebird.

Sorry yes Bluebird is right haha and yeah im 6'3 and can stand up with some extra headroom haha but yeah excited to get started!

For sure you're good! Haha there's a lot I have to learn about these beasts! First step is getting good with air brakes! A lot different than I expected!

I love em. Especially the sound of the parking brake.
And knowing that if they fail, they STOP, is peace of mind when piloting 10 tons of steel.:wink1:

That definitely is peace of mind haha its weird how sensitive they are too at slow speeds! Definitely surprised by it. Also wasn't used to having to put in neutral and apply parking brakes at stops haha so many new things!

mine feel more or less like regular brakes. But yeah, they're a wee bit more sensitive if you aren't thinking about it.

Air brakes are definitely something to get used to. It's amazing how fast you can stop something so big, very jealous of your rust free bus as well. Mine is from Michigan and there's more than a few holes in it.

Yeah that's really why I went so far out for it haha costs more but worth it I'd say!
