Ok y'all... How's everyone one been doing? I'm back and I have a question to pose to the family.
Anyone have any idea on how to go from a Push Pull Air Door switch to the Air paddle rocker switch that has the 8 pins on the back.

I think maybe that rocker switch is used if you have an electric door? If you’re keeping the air door operation, you may be able to use the electric switch, but will still need some sort of air actuator/solenoid (for instance like is used on the side stop arms, if those are air actuated).??

Well I only have a manual door with handle, but from what I've read on here, someone was recently doing exactly what you want to do and he explained that it's a simple solenoid switch, so if you swap over the wires from that switch over to a "On/OFF" rocker switch, it should switch the solenoid which releases air pressure and opens the door, then when off the solenoid lets go and it closes.

But again I haven't looked at it more closely so I could be missing something, but I think as far as the switch goes, it's a simple solenoid switch on/off.

Does that push pull just have electrical connections or does it actually connect to the air lines? My internationals had a dial style switch you'd turn that would electronically activate an air solenoid above the door that would move the door.

Not sure, in the one I saw it was an air device and a simple solenoid that would turn the air valve on the device above the door. There may indeed be more complicated ones that require a manual air release switch, but I know some newer ones are done by solenoid only.

Good Morning. No that's a air door switch. Just got to figure out what I need to change out to make it work. It's gotta be some kinda computer board that may connect to the air apparatus to make it work.

See .. that's what I'm not sure of. It has 8 pins on the back of the switch, but it's an air door paddle/rocker. It doesn't connect to the Air lines like the push/pull I have now(see pics) I've seen them dial switches before when I used to deliver those InterTRASHIONAL's outta Tulsa. I'm just tryin to figure out how to incorporate this into my rig. It's gotta be something like a computer or something like that can be wired to the switch to tell the door to open and close.

I modified my toggle switch air door to also have a remote control key fob for operating it remotely, absolutely love it.
Perfect for jumping out and closing/securing the door and opening upon return.. 😎

So mine has this set up from the factory and from what I can tell, my AMU (Air Management Unit) applies constant pressure to keep the door shut. From the driver's seat, the toggle switch you have relays to a solenoid that reverse the air flow and cause the door to open via a single piston and single shared bar to the door. I mention those last two items as they do take up some head room.

There's also a bypass switch on the door so you can manually bypass this and push/pull it freely. The AMU that controls this is under the bus. Unfortunately, took this all apart a few weeks ago but happy to share pictures of the remaining design if needed. Hope that helps.

OMG.. I'm just seeing your reply.. Absolutely. I'd love to see it and what I have to install in order to make it work

No worries. Unfortunately, I was prepping for a custom door so my hardware is off now but I can take a picture of the remnants if that still helps.

The beauty of having a newer bus is Thomas actually post the maintainence videos on YouTube so you can see what mine used to look like in function here:

I wish they had more but this came from their Service and Repair series here:

Bluebird could always have a page but I'm sure these are likely for buses from the 2000s and newer.

Oh ok.. that's fine and perfect. Lmk when you're available to ship it out and I'll send you the address and cash app or PayPal you the cost to ship
