We have an exceptional relationship with the parts manager. He let us buy them for $650.00 each. They are now about $900.00 each.
That's not as a bad as I thought. Thanks, I'll put this on the list of optional wants.

That looks very doable. I don't think playing musical chairs with the passenger would be that big of a deal, no more often than it would be necessary.
What is the panel that the seat is bolted to? It's hard for me to tell how that fits in. Is it the same height as the plywood behind and the floorboard in front of the seat?
Here ya go ... note that our seats are air ride and swivel too. Thus, we can swing them around to face the back and make up the front part of our living room (once we have that done).

Once we move the door back, we will reposition the navigator's seat in and forward a bit.
It will be fun to have the side-by-side comparison of the twins!Damn, can't wait to see your bus!
We installed a second air seat right next to the driver seat on our dognose bus. We now have a wall directly behind both of them. There is enough room between the passenger seat and dog house to get to the driver seat, but I can certainly see how a flip up base would be nice.

On our install, they are mounted through the flooring and through the floor sheet metal with large bolts and 1/4" thick (I seem to recall 2"x4") pieces of flat stock as washers on the rear bolts and thick washers on he front bolts. I simply duplicated the way it was done from the factory.Do you have any pics of how that seat is bolted on the underside? Is that bolted through to a plate on the underside of the crossmembers, or just bolted to the flat floor? I'm going to be installing my Ford transit vans seat up front pretty soon, but I haven't worked out how to do it yet.
My earlier post was off the top of my head. I just looked at the invoice. We paid $605.00 each ... their retail list price was $1,500.96.We have an exceptional relationship with the parts manager. He let us buy them for $650.00 each. They are now about $900.00 each.

I do not have any photos of the underside ... but if you want some, I will do so tomorrow ... you only need to ask.
That's a possibility, although as someone who's not a welder, that's just more work and more $$$ I'd have to farm out. At this point I'm trying to take in all solutions and hold off on pursuing a solution until I've gathered lots of info.

This is the underside whith the front and rear bolts/nuts for the driver seat. These bolts hold the mounting plate down through the flooring.I'm asking! But definitely no hurry.

Yes, they are expensive. They are the seats that replace those that the truckers remove. They have high back full reclining backs, fully adjustable arm rests to hold your arms in the reclined position, air adjustable lumbar support, and they swivel 180 degrees. Did I mention they are air ride seats?Even $600 per is a lot...again lots of smaller trucking companies on my local facebook marketplace are selling new take out air seats for $100 - 200. Used ones are free or $50.
Sometimes I see the flippers that try and sell them for $500+ and they always end up negotiating after they sit on marketplace for months.

We figured that since we would be spendingalot oftime inthese seat,it was worth getting top-of-the-line seats. We are using the bus to transport our household goods from Texas to Florida. Many such trips are involved.
