Ran into a bit of an issue with my sheet metal.

What a bloody nightmare 1531951385582.jpeg

I feel your pain man. I had to rip my new ceiling out because of a mistake. Just be glad you are getting the mistake over with early!

I'm in the process of trying out different methods of stripping the paint. It's just becoming more and more $$$$$$.

DONT DO WHAT I DID KIDS!

I tried this product, it worked good but the can ran out quick and they're $10 each. I'm switching over to the one in pic 2 now. $30 a gallon. We shall see.1531955827188.jpeg1531955897075.jpeg

I've gone all over my town looking for the Etch & Prep. Can't find it in any paint shop, auto body shop, nowhere. Guess I'm gonna use the Ospho stuff. $25 a gallon but from what I've been told it should work pretty good.

Ospho is great. A $25 gallon goes a long way.

Its what I use.

No Home Depot, Lowes? What city are you in? Again, Ospho and Prep and Etch are the exact same product. they are both 45% Osphophosforic acid.

I'm using prep and etch currently because of the price difference. Jeez Marc, that's what they had in his store.

I'm just trying to understand why you would recommend product A for $25-$35 over product A for $15. They are both the same except one is cheaper, and you're recommending that one because they had in stock?

Okay, I'm off mobile and I'm not trying to have a pissing contest with you marc, but I prefer Ospho. I've used both and found Ospho to work better for me. YMMV.

Also yes, instead of driving around town to check all the stores, I would go with what was in stock when I needed it if I lived out there.

I'm currently using etch and prime because they don't carry ospho at my HD.

Here's your stick, there's the dead horse...:horse3:

I gotta use the Ospho. Only got 1 lowes in town and they said that's a special order item. Sherwin dont carry. Local paint shop dont carry. Walmart dont carry. Auto shop dont carry. It's all good tho I think the 1 gallon of Ospho should be enough. As long as it does the job I'll be happy.

My local Ace hardware stores carry Ospho.
