Mine has a valve that looks like an outside spigot that you can turn to close for the rear and one for the front heater. It's pretty easy to cut and install one.

The loop is only needed if you want any of the original heaters/defroster to operate. Do any of you know if these are the valves to shutoff flow to the rear heater? Click to expand... Those valves may be for the rear heater or may shut off all of the heaters.
