Just curious as to what folks have to say ....
My bus has corrugated steel floor, ( no rust ) I have pink board down and 3/4 inch plywood on top of that.
If one were to put this reflectix product between on of the layers, is it really gonna help at all? I have more than enough reflectix to do the floor.
One thought I have....is really gonna hurt anything?
The pink board is inch, after completing floor and roof, I will have just a little room for head clearance, so, I really don't want to go any more in substantial height.
Bus lives in southern Az, and would be primarily used as a weekend get away vehicle and few week long trips in summer chasing cooler weather.

IMO useless and problematic sandwiched in the floor, and potentially useful in the ceiling but only if installed as intended - which is going to be hard in a skoolie.

Reflectix is a radiant barrier designed to work with an air space, blocking infrared energy (heat). If there's no airgap, the effectiveness is reduced as it now becomes a conductive layer. It is not a good insulating material and does little to reduce heat conduction.

Arizona Reflectix

When I hear Arizona and Reflectix in the same sentence, I immediately picture solar shielding.

One roll over the sunny side windows would make a phenomenal difference in the desert sun. Magnetized to the outside would be better. I wish I had reflectix when I was camping in Death Valley. I used the stailess steel magnetic clips shown below and beach towels. In the desert, it helped with the solar heat and overnight cold, too.

I use a lot of these stainless steel magnetic clips on my buses. They're also available on Amazon in several colors. Only about $20 for 60 clips. The 25' x 24" roll of Reflectix pictured above is $30. Reinforcing the edge with matching colored duck tape would be a fair investment of ones time.
