So we've recently purchased a broken down 1997 international school bus with a 1996 navistar t444e engine and have started tearing into it.
It will crank, but not turn over. When the ignition is switched to acc two of the three relays on the firewall click continuously. They're on the ecm and ipr circuits. Took the ecm out and found a burnt out spot where the plug attaches to the pcb, attempted to repair it but to no avail, these relays are still clicking away.
Any ideas what can cause this?
Still think I need a new ecm, but would hate to put one in and have it face the same fate as the last if the issue is being caused by something else.
Thanks!
