Is anyone from Houston? If so, do you know any reasonable bus mechanic(s)? Any idea(s) where to park while building out?
Im in the process of buying a bus but not sure where or what to do after . I do plan to do the build out myself just not sure where I can park to do it.

I left Houston/Texas around 2014 or so after all the commiefornians started coming in droves.


There used to be a guy in the Heights/Greater-Heights that knew a lot and had a few buses. I forget his name, but he was on here, for awhile, but I think he wound up retiring and haven't heard from him a whole lot anymore.


As far as space goes, your backyard will do--it generally isn't that much trouble to pull a fence section down and mount it on a hinge. Otherwise, find a building that you can rent, or some storage places will tolerate you doing work on the bus. You'll want to stay away from the mega-massive storage lots and focus on the ones that are definitely privately-owned.

My baby brother (fixing to turn 54) used to live in The Heights. He has moved closer to downtown since then. I really loved The Heights the one time my mom and I visited.

ive got a couple friends in houston.. chalks is a good go to for parts, theres a couple scrap yards with bus parts there too.. my friends' busses arent converted so I dont know of a good place to work on one.. we do mechanical work on his when I visit at the storage units but the busses arent torn apart with windows out or anything like that.
