Reusing side metal panels that cover wiring

I've got a 1990 Bluebird TC2000. I've removed all the ceiling and wall panels and flooring, and am planning on insulating everything. I plan on using plywood for the walls and ceiling. My question is, has anyone reused the smaller metal panels from the wall that cover the wiring that runs along the sides? I thought it might be good to keep those and figure out a way to attach them between the lower wall and ceiling, and that way I could still get to the wiring behind them easily if I needed to. (Plus, I like the idea of keeping some of the original metal and having a magnetic surface in parts of the bus.)

Anyone tried this? Or is this a silly idea?

Don't see why not, but I personally didn't for aesthetic reasons.
I did however keep all of my interior body panels for things like patching holes and skinning "basement" storage boxes.

I’ve thought of the same thing. I’m still confused as to the best way to run wiring through the bus after conversion and this was an option I pondered. Following
