anybody rhino line there floor or roof on a bus. im thinking after adding 2 inches of rigid foam to the floor, i would lay down plywood and then have it rhino lined and to add a bit of comfort just add rugs.and as for the roof, white or grey to keep some of the sun off. it should keep it a little less noisy.

I would think rhino lining the floor and roof would be pretty costly along with adding a lot of weight. Then again I guess it depends on what you plan on having in the bus. If its something that will cause heavy wear to the flooring material then it might be a good idea. For the roof I suggest mixing ceramic beads in with the paint like others have to cut down on heat. For making things less noisy you could insulate with Dynamat or similar material.
I guess it depends on what you plan to use the bus for.

I'd never thought of rino on the floor but it makes sense and actually it only looks heavy. It certainly would wear well and clean easy--Humm, I like the idea. At $8.50 a sq ft these days, Dynamat is pretty expensive and as a bitimin derivative has all the qualities of tar--hard to clean and too soft I think. Jack

I must be thinking of another bed lining material--the one I thought was a spray on Rhino product cured with a more or less smooth finish that would have been easy to sweep or mop :?

I still like the idea and tan or grey would be better than black but as I was thinking about it I'm not sure about using it over wood. Probably OK but definetly something to ask the mfg about before you start. You might ask about the finish at the same time. I'd be interested in what you learn. Jack

I have used it before. The last time was on the outside of a dump truck box. I actually got the "smooth" rather then the textured stuff. Paint would never last on the outside of the box, it would get knocked off, then start rusting right away. Its just now starting to bubble in a few places, but it has probably been at least 6yrs ago. I just rolled it on with paint roller. The "smooth" ended up having a pretty heavy orange texture to it.

Have you ever thought of an epoxy coat for the floor. I am not sure of the required floor specifications but I know the epoxy coat for garage floors is tough, smooth and looks good. Just a thought.

Roll-on Herculiner might work...just watch where you get the Herculiner!

That stuff looks like a good product, but damn, $140 a gallon... Way to rich for my blood...

I've been thinking about using some sort of bed liner, but I also plan on making a template out of thick painters paper and cutting out a one piece floor from a thick rubber mat... Costco was selling a garage floor mat that was 7'x20'... It's made for parking your car on, thick rubber with a diamond plate design...
