Rhode Island insurance and registration

Hi from RI! Just bought a 2000 full size school bus. Seats have been stripped out. Was wondering if anyone from Rhode Island has had any luck getting insurance and registration as an RV?

Any luck insuring your rig in RI? We have a converted shuttle bus. We moved from NH, and when we finally switched over or plates, we were using Allstate, but they decided after several months that our vehicle was "commercial" and now won't cover it. AAA says they will cover it as a commercial vehicle. It has seating for 4, 2 beds, a toilet and a sink. It's not commercial. Trying to figure out if the problem is that the title hasn't been converted to RV.

RI Insurance: Sam General Insurance Agency

I have found the key to my skoolie insurance problem. Currently in the process of getting insured by Sam General Insurance Agency. It was as easy as call them over the phone and then sending 6 pictures (4 pictures of the exterior from all sides and 2 pictures of the interior, one from the front of the bus looking back and the other from the back of the bus looking forward)

I had auto insurance with Progressive but was kicked out of my insurance plan. I was only with them for a year. I tried to get a different insurance plan with them and they denied me.

I have tried reach out to multiple big name insurance companies like State Farm, Liberty Mutual, and Geico. None could help me.
