I need to find some rims. The bus has 22.5x7.50 stud pilot (budd) rims. Most of the rims I find are 22.5x8.25 or wider. Will these work? Also another bus I have says the rims are supposed to be 22.5x7.50BC. What does the BC stand for? I've been searching with no luck so far. Thanks!

Check clearance between the rim and tie rod ends. If that clears and normally it will then the 8.25 should be just fine for you. The 7.50 is meant for a 10R22.5, and the 8.25 is meant for a 11R22.5. Although it is allowable to run a 10R22.5 on a 8.25" rim

the brand of tires specify rim width.. the 11R22.5 on my DEV bus specified a 7.5" or wider rim and ive had 0 issues running them on 7.5" rims. some brand of tire specify 8" or wider for 11R.. just have to check the tire spec.

Thank you guys! Ok so it can be a tire size thing.. The ones I need are for the rear so no worries on tie rod. I'll just do a visual and make sure they won't hit anything. I was also wondering if it might mean that the rims would hit each other, but now that I think about it I guess that can't happen, since they are made to be mounted together regardless of width.

One bus already has 11s and the other has 9s but I want to go to 11s to help a little with top speed. So as long as I'm not trying to go smaller, then the 8.25s ought to be fine, it sounds like.

Still nothing on what the BC means?

The bc doesn't have any other numbers with it? When I see bc it typically stands for bore center, which describes the center hole diameter of the rim. Some wheels that are hub centered will have a different hole size, and because of how the rim is centered off the middle hole, the exact diameter of it is important.

here's the data plate
