I'm struggling to find waterproof rivets like they use to rivet the body together. Is there any common source or do I have to order from China.

What I'm planning to do is to remove some of the windows and rivet some 20ga steel over the holes with some epoxy glue around the edges to ensure a seal. Now I know the bus will flex but I'm hoping it won't flex that much.

Yup. Thanks. Now I have to get the pesky bus purchased. Buying it from out of state and it has a different state's license plate and an expired tag.

Hoping the guy has tole oil leak fixed and the bad tyres replaced at least with part-worn.

I must admit I *Like* this bus.

The plan is to remove the majority of the side windows and to put steel sheets over them, riveting the sheets. I'll probably also put some glue behind the sheets to ensure a water-tight seal. The rivets will be coated in glue also as well as being closed-end rivets. I've been thinking about the kind of glue to use and what with reading elsewhere on this site about torsional twisting of the bus as it hits potholes etc, I suspect I might instead of using an epoxy glue that sets hard, using a rubber-based glue that has some flexibility. Needless to say, the sheet steel will be painted both sides and in the holes and edges before it's installed. I hate rust.
