Route Planning Soldier Summit,UT avoid?

Anyone driven US6/191 north from Green River to Spanish Fork? My bus and I don't like long steep grades. It starts to overheat and will slow down to 25MPH.

Is it worth while "going around" and staying on I-70? To Salina then take US 50 to I-15 north?
