running/park lights not working!

i have a 92 bluebird tc2000
i have headlights, brake lights and turn signals
clearance lights are on another switch
i have taken apart the headlight switch and everything looks and test fine there
i have no power to the parking/ running light bulbs
i have checked all the breakers and they test good
i have no clue if there is a fuse box because i cannot find one
this is the only electrical issue with this bus

any help would be appreciated
tonight i will try to track down wire numbers 42,35,75

There is a door on the outside of the bus below the drivers window. Should be a fuse panel inside. Where did you find the breakers? Busses do have some breakers, but usually only a few compared to the number of fuses and relays.

I would be quite surprised if it isn’t just a fuse.

I have to agree that it would be a fuse rather than a breaker.

i have yet to find a single fuse on this bus!
i have found about 30 good breakers in the electrical panel under the drivers window
i did find a diagram and rite now im at the headlight switch gonna start testing there
where else would they hide the fuses?

Can you post a picture of the breakers? Some busses also have a load center in the dash by the passenger door.

My 90 Ford Bluebird has a set of fuses under the dash, above the pedals. HAve to yoga your way in there to find them

but why would the 2 front orange lights be turn signals only
there is only one wire going to them so im sure there not running lights
the only running lights on the front of the bus are clearance lights
i also seen a video on youtube of the same bus at night and it has no running lights on the front of the bus either
the back of the bus has 4 brake lights and 4 running lights and 2 turn signals
the front only has 2 orange turn signals aside from the clearance lights

I have seen very few buses that had anything besides headlights and turn signals on the front of the bus.


If the turn signals only have one wire then they are only turn signals.


Some TC2000 buses had an amber light inside of the headlights at the endo of the grille panel. But most of them did not.

Not sure if this will help, but does this bus have a pull-out style headlight switch?

Years ago, I noticed a trend with pull-out style headlight switches. The rheostat controlling the dash light level would overheat, burn up, and slowly start cooking the rest of the circuits connected to the switch. For some reason, the first to begin having problems was usually the marker lights. The dash lights would often keep working or at least work most of the time until the marker lights started failing. (And yes, they were on separate output terminals, never did figure THAT part out)

Anyway, if left unchecked or unnoticed, eventually the headlights would begin going on and off, or sometimes go off and not come back. In one vehicle, (88 EXP) I had to completely replace the multifunction switch, headlight switch, block connectors and some of the wiring to restore the lights. On that vehicle, I did this 7 times in one year. The last time, while checking functionality after repair, the headlight switch gave me a near-second-degree burn on my palm after being on for less than 30 seconds.

It was then I discovered that the rheostat was overheating badly. On reviewing the schematic, I found the best solution was to connect the rheostat output wire straight to the marker light wire, bypassing the rheostat. Couldn't dim the dash lights from that point, but it stopped the overheating and I never had another problem. This same fix solved the same problem on about six other vehicles I eventually ran across.

Just something I thought I'd mention if it might be applicable. Sometimes putting things back like they were from the factory isn't necessarily the best way - it's just a temporary fix until it happens again.

My bus (2000 International / bluebird) has a small fuse panel in the center of the dashboard - to the right of the headlights.

Marker lights

The Marker lights on my 2003 Int. Bluebird while driving down the Hwy. started blinking on and off then stopped working. I have headlights and break lights and Instrument panel dash light. No parking, Marking or door stair light. I checked the fuses under the dash and did not find any blown. As anyone had this problem and and have any ideas I can try.

I have this same problem and I think it may be a faulty CL switch (I assume you have a separate switch to turn them on like I do?). In my case the switch doesn't light up when I turn the panel lights on (all the other switches are lit), which may mean it's lost its ground.

Marker lights

Ok so I started looking at the wires coming from the headlight switch and found a Black wire had come loose from a Crimped wire Splice. All lights working now. Knock on wood.

Black is usually a ground and can affect other circuits, as most vehicles tie several grounds into a main ground feed to the body or chassis.
