I recently picked up a converter from a RV. System monitors inc mrm400d. I understand most of t he wiring just few on the tag that dont make sence. Can somone explain the wiring on this tag does white mean battery ground?
'COMMON' and 'NEG' are alternative references to ground in both AC and DC applications, so seeing as everything else is marked 'LINE', 'BAT', or '+' (which means 12V), I would say yes. White is an odd color choice for a 12V ground wire (usually lighter colors are 12V, darker are ground), but assuming this is a DC-to-AC inverter we are talking about, it might make sense on the output side, though white is usually neutral in AC wiring.
I would, however, suggest contacting the manufacturer to see if they can provide a proper wiring schematic. I fried a fairly new CB radio in an Intertrashable PornStar because it used a white wire for ground, and a green wire for 12V DC, with no labeling
