I think I made a mistake. We were having water issues with the original bus doors on our 1980 Chevy short bus. I took them out and put in an old camper door. It opens and closes better and stopped the water issue but hubby doesn’t like it and there is limited visibility that I didn’t even think about. I would just put the door back but I broke it transporting it. Has anyone ever saw an old camper door with full glass windows in it?

Why not just build a custom door?
I think him adding a custom door is what caused the issue in the first place.

is there room to add a small gutter above the door? Even a tiny one helps a lot.

I read it that the original door got damaged after replacing it with a solid camper door. The hubby doesn't like a solid door but the glass door is broken, so wifey is hoping for a camper door with full frame glass.

Whitebus, what is the width of the door opening?

It sounded like the water issue was fixed but the poor visibility and probably an ugly old door is what the spouse may have not liked.... A custom door would get them what they want.... It is NOT hard to build a new door....

Ya know if you didn't change the door out you would have always thought how wonderful it would be with an RV door so no loss really, plan C now. Show us a pic of the door, you know you might be able to purchase a window for it or cabbage a window out of the old one. Those long narrow windows work great for installing in home garage doors.
