RV Supershow in Tampa (January17-21)

I know a few folks who have gotten buses from them at lower prices but they were always priced low because of some mechanical issue they didn't want to solve before selling it. THe issues were fully disclosed and both people were able to fix them very inexpensively, but it seems that they just get out of their element with regards to repairs pretty quickly.

they do some repairs.. I helped them with a 444E a month or so after i got my DEV bus (it came from them). one of the IDM drivers was bad (or so I think... one bank was offline)..

ive seen them fix stuff.. I probably paid a couple grand more than i shouldve for my DEV bus.. but their paint job was a grand less than I got charged for my red bus.. and it included all new tail and side marker lights.. the tires werent great... though from what ive seen people here on the forum were freaking out more than reality said.. granted i did drive that bus 17k miles or so pretty quickly. i had an air compressor fail at 450 miles in...

since then that bus has been pretty darn good.. suspension is tight, rust is minimal compared to some of the stuff I see on this forum.. the engine was replaced with a Jasper reman in 2004.. (verified by the jasper tag)... trans is dated the same..

overall im sure I couldve come out a total of a grand or 2 cheaper. but that bus has served me well and i needed a bus quick for the project I was working on, and it did its job in flying colors... its **WELL** exceeded every dime i have into it in knowledge gained, business deals landed because of the testing I performed with it.. and pure fun factor...

BGA bus sales, they run "wesellschoolbuses.com" and can be found all over craigslist and some other places. They're notoriously the most expensive place to buy a bus.

I don't think people are complaining about a grand or two over for a good bus, in good condition, from a dealer.

They are complaining about buses priced three to four times what they sold for at auction, with little in the way of added value.

Mine cost $4000 at auction. Paying a dealer $6000 to $7000 for it wouldn't be horrible, but it would be priced at $10k, and even more from BGA, from what I've seen

Makes me wonder whats wrong with this one that they are only asking $3500 and that's negotiable. I love how they list one for $8K, $7200 cash, but the stickers on the windshield say $12K.

I contacted them and they said there was issues with rust, as evident in the pictures. And it has caliper problems, sticking or seized. The rust on the body could be handled during a proper paint job and the I have tons of experience with brake calipers having build literally 1000's of them when I worked for Rebco Racing Enterprises running their race caliper building division. They drove it from the auction in the condition it's in.

they drive most all of their busses, so they do get a shake down drive.. Betty and old man greg often fly all over and drive busses back.. ive run into them out on I-75 before , greg followed me in his Smart-car (wrapped like a school bus).. for 40 miles one time till i stopped for fuel.. and was super glad to see i was out running the bus all over creation...

On the topic of Tampa, there's a great operation there called Tampa Machinery Auction. Plenty of buses cross their auction block at great prices, among tons of other cool stuff I'm sure skoolies would love.
