RV - The Movie

Theres 4 clips on Yahoo movies, I just watched them. Looks like a good movie for us "skoolie" folk but there seems to be a lot of cheezy music in the clips, dont know if its added in or if its in the movie. Eather way I think I'll go check it out, it'd be worth my money to see them trash an RV.

heres the link to the clips

Theres even a photo of the RV sinking into a lake on that yahoo movies link.

I saw this one last night. It was pretty good and those trailers do make it look worse then it is to some people. I really liked the part where the other movie trailers ended and the movie it self started. :D

Well, I got to the movies and I was suckered in to watch United Flight 93, instead of RV.

I liked United 93 but, I really wanted to see RV. ****, I should have sneaked in the RV movie. :?

Shane, Natalie, and I went and saw it on Friday night. We arrived 9:37 for the 9:30 show and walked in as the last trailer was finishing so be ready for that. We all thought the movie was funny and better than we expected. Any PG movie in which they say "bitch" has to be ok atleast. I would certainly recommend it to other skoolie fans if for no other reason than to see a really cool Flexible bus.

I watched the movie also and thought it was great. The flxble bus was really done up well and the scenery, throughout the movie, was great.

I also never thought that an RV could take that much punishment and still roll.

Two thumbs up :)

I just saw it, great movie for anyone who RV/Skoolies. I wonder how they chose the Flxible for the movie. They may have built it especially for it.

I did a little looking around and found a great article on the RVs used in this movie. Apprently they had six of the RVs and two of the Flxibles.

RVs steal the show in this funny flick

Because "RV" is an action-comedy road film, it involved the use of six look-alike Georgetowns and two identical vintage buses.

I think we have all experienced something like this:

The Clipper "attracted more attention and stopped more traffic than any other single vehicle I've ever worked with and that includes Vipers, Concept Vehicles and some other fairly exotic vehicles," says Rasmussen in the production notes.

And apparently the movie is motivating people to go RVing. Maybe the Flxible featured in the movie will also revive or change the opinions of what people think of bus conversions.

"Our phones are ringing off the hook because of this movie," says Kevin McClure, sales manager at Freedom RV in Spokane Valley. "It is just incredible."

This article tells where the buses came from:

Two of the buses formerly owned by the Elizabeth City-Pasquotank Public Schools will share the silver screen with actors Robin Williams and Jeff Daniels in an upcoming Hollywood film. The other bus is the flagship vehicle of a tourism company based in Ontario, Canada.

I got the DVD tonight, I was hoping for more special features showing the buses.

If you see the DVD make sure to watch the RV Nation featurette

They are typically driven by people who should not be driving RVs.

Robbin Williams really loves that flxible. They show a very very small bit of them building it.

I got it yesterday. I would also agree that they could have added more goodies with it. There just isn't enough of what is there. But it is still good.
