Hi guys,
I’m taking out the sheet metal from the ceiling. I plan on doing A roof raise and do have some holes in the floor. Would it be wise to repurpose this metal for the step down transition of the roof raise? Are there any good reasons for me to keep the ceiling metal? We have someone who is going to pick up the scrap and I need to have it all out on the yard.

Making an assumption here, but what are you going to cover window openings with?

For the most part we are keeping the windows but we will obv have a 10-14” if empty space below it. I was thinking of buying sheet metal that is a few gauges thicker than the ceiling we are ripping out.

Your ceiling panels aren't perforated, right?

I went with 18ga. The interior skins are a bit thinner than I'd use.
Also mine were textured!
