Huntington Beach CA.
On the 1991 TC 2000 the shift handle is on the left. There was a metal box on the right that looked like a well for some long gone electronics. Took it out and eyeballed it and flipped it over and voila.
Not quite that easy but the task has a good start. Need to process a hole underneath the shifter for the tail of the assembly then fold up a small sheet metal cover for the other side.

At least there is a little wiggle room, this project is nowhere near 32nds by any means.:whistling:

Hi John,

It will connect up the same way and place which is an integral U clamp on the shifter assembly and a U bolt through the plate bolted to the transmission.
The cable is very supple.

See, thats why I love this site. No clue it is called a Morse shifter cable. Was glad it was in good shape because it looks exspensive!
Thanks John

and were done here

This came out good to. Shifter on the left was dumb and clunky.
The penetration was in the perfect location. Easy hole with a cordless drill, a cutoff wheel and a sawzall. The cable will dress and clamp very nicely.
I do not see much future for the stock dash either though.
Hmmm

That location is pretty much the same as where I put mine. I agree that being on the left is clunky. Like trying to shift gears on an English (RHD) car.

shifter on the right looks good.. and where a shifter should be! the old spot for it is where my parking brake is.. id be mixing that up all the time!
