Skoolie Conversion is DONE!! 4,400 watts of solar, washer dryer combo, & dishwasher

Hey all! My 1.5 year skoolie conversion is finally done. I flew up to Wisconsin to buy the 30ft bus and drive it back to Florida. It was a dt466e engine and md3060 trans (the exact combo i was looking for). I work during the days so only was able to work on it during the weekends. I built this to live in full time and never sell. Figured one day when i do have a house I will keep it for vacations. I put a lot of time effort and $ into this and happy how it turned out.

I went to head out on my trip and had an O-Ring failure on one of my cylinders  I am doing an engine rebuild and should be back up and running in 2 weeks time.

Also, special thanks to people like Cadillackid who were extremely helpful answering questions.

awesome!!! Love this interior!! nice and open feel and bright colors!!! once you rebuild the engine you will be set to roll for years :)

at least it broke when not out in the middle of nowhere!!!

Lies & blasphemy!

A skoolie is never ~~DONE~~.

There is always bound to be something that you'll change on it later.

But good work, and happy trails, enjoy your labors.

Haha so true. But its "Done" enough that I will start traveling. AKA I don't think i will need big tools anymore.

I have to ask, where did you get those windows, air vents for your bathroom and bedroom, and what A/C do you use? love the build and I loved the video you did, that wiring looked good to me! I also love having switches wired to cut power to your outlets!

Congrats

Actually came across your Youtube build video a while ago and will be incorporating a couple of your ideas into our build. Nice job and sounds like the engine issue will only be a minor inconvenience to your timing. I am not sure I would ever get rid of my big tools. There is always stuff to do with them.

Safe travels.

Enjoyed the video. And I'll add my well done. Impressive for a young man to stick to the job. An attaboy for that, too. Where in FL? Asking from Sanford.

Congrats you did what a lot of skoolie builders attempt but fail to cross the finish line.

I'm about 1 year into mine and I haven't started the building process. I've mainly been restoring my 30 yo bus to like new condition slowly as money comes in. I'm about ready to start building though. I think the building part will go faster for me than the restoration portion for me as I'm a quick builder and not an auto diesel mechanic.
