I’m ready to chuck the house (sell it and everything else) and walk away from it all. This past year has been HELL for my family and me. My partner and I are going to the Colorado Tiny House Convention in a few weeks and I have been researching THOW for three years now. Looking at bus conversions is a real consideration. Although I have been reading posts here for a few weeks, I am no fool. I could never do this myself. Any advice for someone like me? By the way, this is an AMAZING forum with a lot of really useful information and some serious talent and creativity. I love it! Thank you so much for letting me join.

What's your budget?

There are classified listings on here, and on various other sites that list skoolies in various states of conversion. They're not always cheap, and you still need to pay attention to the conversion quality (and the quality of the underlying bus the person started with), but it is possible to buy a ready to live in skoolie.

You are so right. I did, however, come to the aid of a fellow mom who was being insulted for pricing her shortie too high. A couple of people are a bit too insulting and rude. I have checked out this forum long enough to know, however, that this is not the norm. Thank you.

Asking ten grand for a $2000 bus is bound to elicit some comments.
But its not the norm. Usually the folks asking silly money for buses on here aren't active members of this community.
