Bench tested the propane functionality on my fridge and the stove from my scrapped camper. both work great.

birthday parties, mother's day, weekend was too busy to get a lot done.

my next step is to remove the escape hatches and skin over. after that I am ready for some spray insulation.

I was going to remove unneeded wires, but I hate electrical and have no patience. I will just leave it all..

Out of town last weekend. Need to post some progress pics.

Started on the walls and got the rest of the ceiling removed.

Sticker removal is tedious business. Need a heat gun

Going to tackle wiring reduction soon. Want to remove a few miles of unneeded wires to clean things up.

Round this suburban 3231A cooktop new in box on Craigslist for $100. Better option for me as i don't plan on using my oven when camping. Now i can sell my range unit. It'll allow for more kitchen storage as well

update time. it has been a while and I have not been able to do a lot to Skoolie Doo but here are some updates. decided to delete the 4-way flashers for a cleaner look. pleased with how they turned out. although it was 3 evenings of work. 1 evening to weld in the steel backer plates, another evening to apply bondo sand repeat, the 3rd day was final coat, sand, prime.

last night progress, I was able to delete an emergency exit. I was worried that my cut sheets of 16ga steel were going to be too small but 27" by 27" was just about right. it was layed down on top of some butyl tape secured by #12 3/4 inch self taping screws covered by some dicor lap sealant. I am pleased with the results.

did a little decal removal while I was waiting in between coats of paint. so glad I bought a heat gun.

Did you leave the original floor in the bus? Looks like you put a new floor on top of the old floor.

I pulled up areas and found it to be solid. Very fortunate to have no rust issues.

I wish I had more time to make some progress. Things go slow when you have no helpers! doing things solo can be tricky. I think the ceiling will be a challenge. Really love the fan. A/C blows nice and cold. I can't wait to start filling up the inside with furnishings. still trying to decide on how I am going to build my dinette as I want to reuse 2 bus seats that have seatbelts on them for my little co-travelers. Or should I build one from timber and still incorporate some seatbelts in them?

It has been a while since I have posted any updates. Summer has been crazy busy and when it wasn't busy the bus was too damn hot to work on. I was also on vacation in Thailand for a few weeks. I am back and figured while I am still struggling internally with the layout I can at least get the outside painted. Since I am an army of one, I am having to do it in pieces. I got the back done and I am pleased with the results. removing the stickers and residue was a pain in the butt. The sides should be easier. I am spraying the bus with a HVLP sprayer and it has not required any thinning of the paint. I am using Gillespie Coatings (GCI) paint. I went with a flat option to better hide any of my amateur paint job blemishes. This is the same color all the military uses for their desert camo. Stuff was not cheap, but it is spraying nice.
