Smitty's Bus

Hay Smitty, check out my latest post.
Some good info for anyone trying to change registration from schoolie to motor home. I figure you might know more people in this state than i do even though you aren't here.
And feel free to post anything from there on your other site if you think it will help anyone :)

Those steps are a good idea. Have you chosen a color for the bus?

Was thinking bout building some stairs for the new receiver hitch on ours, but, I think I'll knock myself out on the door jam, what are those things (back door) 4' off the floor....
But to get up on the back porch, thats perfect!! And they look great too!

Whats the elevator for BTW? roof patio??? or you gonna store a chord of wood up there???

Was just complaining bout the 4' back doors buses come with! ya we still have our pad there, and a speaker box that sticks out another 4-5 inches, encased in an aluminum bracket... I think I'll just take the "big" step into the back of the bus for safety sakes! lol

I assist in orthopedic type surgeries.

I have assisted in many surgeries, but never any orthopedics. 8) Well, unless you consider an amputation to be orthopedic. At our city hospital they do a lot of hips and knees and most people end up better than before, well, except for the 350 lb patients who couldn't hold their own weight even if their lives depended on it. For some reason they just can't seem to walk on a new hip or knee even after surgery... :? Some docs have been known to do hip replacements on 85 year old patients who haven't walked in many years...not sure the point of that really... :(

Lookin' gooood. You can back up to a lake and fish off your back deck.

Is all that deck seat framing gonna make it hard to paint the body of the bus later?

Looking good man. Somehow I missed the whole elevator discussion. Gonna have to go back. Friggin elevator, jeeze.

Smitty, Went over to your site and looked around for some details. The elevator is so sweet. If it works out for you I may be stealing that idea.

Couldn't find any info on the wheel simulators. Did you mention where you got them? How much were they?

Well bunedoggle here's the website I found them at....they are $100 a piece, look good right out of the box and are easily attached. (I had minor work on the dual valve stem extenders)

If you want to see them on another bus look up Slab Cab'n's thread.

Can you use the elevator to load stuff on the roof rack or is it just to load you on the roof rack? Are the windows RV or home windows?

You might want to put tint on it or some of the armor type film on it. You should have seen the cuts in my rottweiler when she went through a window. Pretty ugly. Something like this.

Smitty's an old man. He'll be driving so slow, there won't be any wind resistance. He's in this video driving the Lincoln.
