Hey everyone! Hope you all are doing well. Just wanted to pass this along. I was searching around for a solar system to install on my P-30 Skoolie. There is a sea of options and information but I got what I believe to be. A great deal on the. Renogy 200w starter kit. It includes 2) 100 watt solar panels, a 30 amp charge controller, all of the necessary cables and mounting hardware. There was a coupon on the unit on the main page so I paid $135.00 out the door delivered from Amazon.
Just thought this was a great deal from a solid manufacturer and wanted to pass it along.
Have a great day people and count your blessings.

Not bad if you just want to charge a phone or a laptop. Won’t be running any microwaves or televisions for very long.

Really? Can you charge a phone with that? This is why you hear folks say "solar just won't provide enough juice to live comfortably.

Ruth and I have nearly 4KW on the roof and a 16KWh battery bank. We live in a big metal box in the desert. We stay comfortable, we run a deep freeze and two full size refrigerators. We cook with electricity. We run the mini-split all the time.
We are at net-zero by noon almost every day (that means the batteries are fully charged an the sun is running the house.)

We see skoolies that have a bazillion bucks on the interior, and a couple 100W panels on the roof. We wonder, "are they Amish?"

I have also installed a solar system on the bus and know how difficult it is to choose a suitable kit among the huge number of options. Renogy 200w starter kit I considered, but did not know that you can catch such a price with coupon. I finally chose another brand, but your experience is useful, I will keep in mind for the future.

I'm about to build a small setup for a car port I just set up on my 30 acres. I need it to battery tend my 2001 TRS 4 wheeler.
