I've been cruising this http://www.instructables.com site and they have a solar section. A lot of DIY solar panels and the like. The Solar Window inserts sounded promising for the bus conversions so I thought I would post a link....

ID probably do that for my large dining room windows but I have them plastic'd off for the winter.

looks like its a wood frame, screened and then a solar heat absorbing material that builds up heat between it and your window then vents out the top?

can you post the pdf here? i dont really wanna sign up there. atleast yet.

Neither do I! Too cheap. I "cut-&-paste" type & Pics into a Printmaster Newsletter. It's my lazy way of taking notes. I can still save the info in a PDF thru my Printmaster program. You just keep clicking on "next step" to get all the info. You don't HAVE to sign up. Signing up ($) means you can enlarge pics (so can I if I copy image into Printmaster) and get the info as a PDF. You should be able to do the same in OpenOffice.

It's one of those sites that gets you to thinking.... Lots of different subjects.... They also have FOOD!
