SOLD: FS: 1982 Chevy C30 dually w/454 big block

It is a sad day as I find myself putting my old chevy truck up for sale. I dearly love this old truck in spite of its many character traits.

This might make a really awesome toad for someone. Or, perhaps you want to get the engine for your bus. I believe it would work quite well in a bus. Or perhaps you really appreciate old trucks and want to fix her up. Or maybe you need something to pull your bus around in your yard while it doesn't run.

It was a difficult decision to sell this old truck. I suspect many of you understand how that is. But, I have 2 pickup trucks, this one and a 1993 dodge dakota. The dodge gets almost twice the MPG, has working A/C, and has a back seat for the munchkin (my niece). Also, my mom can drive the dodge but not the chevy. So, since one has to go, I decided it had to be the chevy. *sighs* I've put this decision off for almost 2 years now. :?

It's too bad it's not a 4wd. The front axle alone would be worth the asking price.

Keeping my fingers crossed. Someone stopped by and talked to my mom about it this morning and made an offer and I accepted and they said they would be back. They also said they would keep the truck as a truck, not an engine donor... sounds like someone that appreciates an older truck. woohoo!

Mom just called me and told me it is sold. I sold it for $25 more than I originally paid for it, so that ain't too bad considering the amount of use I've gotten out of it.

I already miss that old truck.
